Tom Hull Achieves a 1st Place at the International Photographer of the Year Awards
Monday, September 6th, 2010
Nova photographer Tom Hull’s project ‘Sprung’ has been awarded first place in the Architecture: Buildings (non-professional) category of the International Photography Awards. The mission of the awards is to “salute the achievements of the world’s finest photographers, to discover new and emerging talent, and to promote the appreciation of photography”.
Tom will be invited to the Lucie Awards in New York on October 27th to compete for the title of the ‘Discovery of the Year’ provided by Blurb, a Lucie Statue and $5,000 cash prize.
At the Gala Awards ceremony honours will also be given for Lifetime Achievement, distinguishing some of the world’s greatest men and women whose life’s work in fashion, photojournalism, advertising and fine art merit the highest acclaim by their peers. The winner of the International Photographer of the Year will also receive a ‘Lucie’.
‘Sprung’ was featured as a Pick of the Day on the Nova blog in October last year.
