Frequently Asked Questions
How do limited editions work?
All our prints are limited editions and will be accompanied
by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. Limited
Edition prints are strictly limited to the numbers shown
for each size. Once a particular edition has sold out it
will never be made available again.
Whilst on sale at Nova Gallery, all photographs are exclusive
and are not available elsewhere.
How are the prints produced?
Most smaller prints are digital c-type prints produced
on Fuji Crystal Archive paper. These offer the highest print
quality and up to 200 years longevity.
Larger prints are usually inkjet prints produced on Fuji
Paper using Epson Ultra Chrome HDR inks.
Printing information will be noted alongside each edition.
The print sizes quoted refer to the size of the print media
and not the printed image. Prints are usually produced with
a minimum border size of 0.2 inches (5mm) for small and
medium prints and 0.4 inches (10mm) for the large size to
facilitate framing. Images are not resized or cropped when
printed.
How are prints despatched?
Smaller prints are sent in protective wallets within cardboard
envelopes, larger prints in tubes. All prints are sent by
recorded delivery and require a signature on receipt. Please
allow up to 14 days for delivery.

What if my print is damaged during shipping?
All prints are covered by compensation for loss or damage.
If your print is damaged in transit please inform us without
delay. Please note, if an edition has sold it, it may not
be possible to replace a particular print.
What is your returns policy?
All sales are final. However, if your print has a printing
flaw or is damaged during transit we can replace the print.
Please note: prints will only be replaced if you inform
us of a problem within two weeks of receipt.
How do I pay for prints?
Transactions are handled via Google Checkout. Most credit
and debit cards are accepted. If you do not have one, you
will need to sign up for a Google
account before making a purchase.
How much money
goes to charity from a print purchase?
Nova Gallery deducts 10% of the purchase price of each
print from its share of the sale and donates it to the supported
charities. The donation is shared equally between the charities.
So for a print advertised at £99, £9.90 of that
amount will be shared equally between the supported charities.
Notifiable amount: In our first
year, based on a projected turnover of £40,000, it
is expected we will donate a total of £4000 - divided
equally between the charities we hope to support. The list
of charities that we currently support can be found on our
charities page.
Do the photographers benefit from sales?
Income from sales is split evenly between the gallery and
the photographer (after printing costs). The gallery then
provides the charitable donation (see above) from its share.
Can you keep me up-to-date with news of new editions?
Yes. Just sign
up for the mailing list and we will keep you informed
of all developments at Nova.
Can I sell my prints through Nova Gallery?
We pro-actively source material ourselves for Nova and
generally do not accept image submissions. If you have some
images that you feel might be appropriate then please email
(submissions at thiswebsite.co.uk) a web link to where the
images can be viewed. Please do not send image files. If
you do not receive a response within one month then your
submission has not be successful - but thanks for considering
Nova Gallery.
