From the artist: "6 a.m. at a friend's place
in Chicago. First light after an all-night snowstorm. Outside
it's cold, bright and snow-covered. Inside it's warm, dark
and dry—the extremes mitigated by the glass window pane and
the thin curtain. My wife is still asleep in the bed. It's
absolutely silent, inside and out."
