From the artist: "This is the local railway
line a short walk away from my parents’ house. As a child
I used to wave to the trains passing by from a nearby bridge.
Since the unification road traffic has increased manifold
and railway lines have gone out of use. The end of this particular
piece of track came when a new motorway was built running
from Hamburg in West Germany all the way to Poland."
