Peter Baker grew up in a small farm town south of
Detroit, moved to Chicago, San Francisco, and then
back to Michigan, where he continues to work on and
exhibit his photography, while also running a graphic
design studio, Elevated Works. Everything he shoots
is about exploration and seeing something new, digging
around to find the out-of-the-way areas, the overlooked
beauty and the ignored ugliness.
His work has been exhibited around the world in
print and exhibitions, and he's currently taking part
in the 50
States Project, a year long exploration by one
photographer from each of the United States, while
working on many other long term photography projects.
More of his photography work can be seen at peterbaker.net,
design work at elevatedworks.com,
and blogging, including daily photos, at ptrbkr.com.
